Robin Williams was gracious enough to allow me to channel his energy into this aura painting
Here is what I felt he would us to know as I channeled his energy into this piece. Just like in much of his work in life, is that life is meant to be fun and it doesn’t last forever. The intensity at which he felt the importance for humor and joy is the intensity at which he felt life in many ways. With everything in his energy there is a very distinct yin and yang polarity. You can see this with all of the colors chosen to create his piece of art. Robin Williams was unafraid of being on either side of the spectrum of intensity, this willingness also made it easier for him to find where humor was often hiding... As he could explore the dark and depressing depths of human consciousness with the vibrancy of a child like mind full of wonder. As with most artists this fluidity also made it easy for him to do his work as an actor. His favorite role seemed to be Genie in Aladdin, and Mrs.Doubtfire mostly because those roles seems to have positive effects children. A whole generation of kids who grew up watching him, he was polarizing, honest and unafraid. Robin wants us to remember all aspects of who he was and how he was, even down to the concept that life itself is a choice. When you treat it as such, it’s easier to take it less seriously. His gift to humanity was often to bring our understanding to things we deemed as dark, upsetting, and difficult to deal with. Even down to the last moment of his life. The reason for this is so we can transmute that energy, and understand that there is light in all of the darkness, if all we do is remember to find the light, find the humor.
I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed creating it. It was an absolute pleasure to channel such a unique person as Robin Williams (January, 20th, 2021)
